June, 2009 - Final installment... The issue is still alive concerning the impact of TORT reform in Oklahoma.
Speaker: James Dunn, Attorney and RNC National Committeeman. James does not like the new legislation and as uncomfortable as it may be for a Republican to be against it, he has agreed to tell us why he has taken the position he has and looks forward to your remarks and challenges. Quote from today's meeting, 1.) "there are three important elements to define before taking a case: Is there liability, are damages likely to be earned and is there a recoverable defendant (a party able to pay)." 2.) Trial attorneys, like insurance companies are professional gamblers." 3.) I believe parts of the new TORT Reform legislation will be found to be unconstitutional." 4.) I believe in TORT Reform, just not how this was written."

April, 2009. Update from Oklahoma County Commissioner Brian Maughan. Commissioner Maughan discussed the dramatic events surrounding the wild fires that recently engulfed a large portion of his district in April.
